Envisage Technologies, creators of the Acadis Readiness Suite—a software solution built to manage the complex training operations for first responder communities—announced that they have begun offering a mobile application for Apple mobile devices. Acadis Mobile is available for download from the App Store.
Acadis Mobile will enable instructors to easily record observed tests and practical exercises, such as firearms or emergency vehicle operations (EVO) assessments. Acadis Mobile will only require an internet connection when downloading rosters and uploading or reporting the results of observed tests, allowing for recordation of important assessment data in areas where connectivity is unavailable. Data recorded offline is securely stored on the mobile device and can be uploaded once the user has reached a destination that has sufficient connectivity to support the transfer of data. Acadis Mobile is in the early development phase, and additional features are slated for release.
"Our law enforcement and first responder customers train in environments where they sometimes have limited or no connectivity and, in the past, may have been forced to use paper to record test data," said Envisage CEO, Ari Vidali. "The ability to instantly record accurate scores for practical exams such as firearms qualifications or capstone exercises in the field will revolutionize data capture for these high-stakes tests and significantly reduce the administrative costs and recording errors that can be associated with redundant data entry."
"We spend a lot of time observing and talking to our Acadis users to figure out what they need," said Envisage COO, Michelle Cole. "With so many of our clients relying on the flexibility that mobile technology affords we are very pleased to offer this option. We believe that Acadis Mobile will not only streamline training operations, but also significantly reduce the clerical errors that can plague paper-based field reporting."
