Dutch Officer Murders His Children, Wounds Wife, Commits Suicide

A 34-year-old police officer in the Dutch city of Dordrecht—a suburb of Rotterdam—shot and killed two small children, wounded his wife, and then fatally turned the gun on himself. 

According to Reuters , the children were ages eight and 12, and the wounded woman is 28 years old.

A large police presence was seen at the home where the incident occurred, with the town's mayor even making an appearance at the scene.
