Dog Running on Highway Leads NH Officers to Rescue Owner
The officers soon found a badly damaged pickup truck that had rolled over. They also discovered that the driver and a passenger had been ejected from the vehicle and were hypothermic and seriously injured.

On Jan. 3 a New Hampshire State Police trooper responded to a call about a dog on Interstate 89 at the New Hampshire/Vermont border in Lebanon, NH. Before the dog could be captured it led the trooper and other officers to its seriously injured owner.
Trooper Sandberg and officers from the Lebanon Police Department the German shepherd on northbound Interstate 89. When the officers attempted to get close to the animal, it continued to run northbound on interstate, crossing into Vermont. A short time later, Trooper Sandberg and the Lebanon Police Officers located a damaged section of guardrail near the Interstate 91 and Interstate 89 junction.

Trooper Sandberg and the Lebanon Police Officers were able to quickly call for medical assistance.
While at the scene, Trooper Sandberg and the Lebanon Police Officers learned that the German Shepard, named Tinsley, belonged to one of the injured occupants of the truck. Police credit Tinsley with leading them to the crash site and the injured occupants.
Tinsley did not appear to be injured in the crash, police said.
