The Detroit Police Department's interim chief Ralph Godbee has won the full-time job, reports the Detroit Free Press.

Mayor Dave Bing named Godbee interim chief in July after the mayor asked former Chief Warren Evans to resign. Evans was compromised by his involvement with a reality television show and relationship with a subordinate in the department, Bing said at the time.
