Dallas police officers say they are ashamed by a deputy chief's decision to give cop killer David Brown, who is also the chief's son, a police escort on Friday, the Dallas Morning News reports.
Deputy Chief Julian Bernal gave the order Friday to provide 10-12 motor units and a squad car to escort members of the funeral procession of David Brown, who shot and killed Lancaster PD's Officer Craig Shaw . Escorts are usually reserved for dignitaries and officers who are killed in the line of duty.
