Dallas Officer Injured When Parked Patrol Car Struck

An officer with the Dallas Police Department suffered undisclosed injuries when the patrol vehicle he was sitting in was struck by a passing vehicle.

According to the Dallas Morning News , officers were assisting a stranded driver when the passing car struck one of the marked patrol cars stationed at the side of the expressway.

Authorities did not provide any information about the officer's condition, other than that the officer was hospitalized.
