Cops Say Twin Cities Motorcyclist Hit 130 mph on I-94

An Oakdale man who fled the Wisconsin State Patrol reached 130 miles per hour on his motorcycle Sunday morning before losing control in a grassy area just off Interstate 94 near Menomonie, according to a patrol official.

An Oakdale man who fled the Wisconsin State Patrol reached 130 miles per hour on his motorcycle Sunday morning before losing control in a grassy area just off Interstate 94 near Menomonie, according to a patrol official.

Kevin J. Berglund, 20, is expected to be charged with a felony of fleeing a state patrol officer and could also be charged with reckless endangerment, said the patrol's Sgt. Mike Newton.

Berglund, who was not injured, was clocked at 93 mph around 10:46 a.m. while westbound on I-94. When a trooper attempted to stop him, Berglund exited near Menomonie and attempted to go north on Hwy. 25.
