Cop Kills Suspected Armed Robber who Crashed Stolen Car Into House

A Duluth (Minn.) Police officer fatally shot a suspected armed robber during an exchange of gunfire at a home near where he had crashed a stolen vehicle after a pursuit.

The incident began at about 10:25 p.m. Sunday, when officers attempted to stop a stolen 2002 Infiniti with a 26-year-old woman behind the wheel and the suspect riding as a passenger.

The driver led officers on a short pursuit that ended when the car crashed into a home at 102nd Avenue West and Dickson Street. The passenger entered a nearby home, in the 1400 block of 102nd Avenue West, prompting two police officers to go in after him, reports Paul Walsh of the Star-Tribune.

One officer returned fire, after the man shot at him. A female living in the home was shot in the leg. No officers were hurt.
