A suspect was killed and two New Haven, Connecticut, Police officers were wounded after police executed a search warrant Wednesday morning, police report.

The officers' injuries were not considered life-threatening, and they have since been released from the hospital, according to West Haven police Sgt. Scott Allard.
Allard said the man fired at officers during the incident, hitting a West Haven officer in the leg.
“A second officer was shot in the leg at the door of the suspect’s apartment. Officers on scene returned fire and struck the suspect and where he was pronounced deceased,” Allard said.
