Company Provides PC with Purchase of Software

A $20 million program to provide small law enforcement agencies with free PCs is underway through Colorado software developer IRP Solutions Corp.

When law enforcement professionals or agencies purchase a copy of IRP’s Case Investigation Life Cycle (CILC) BASIC software, they will receive a desktop computer at no extra cost, says Sam Thurman, vice president of sales at IRP.

“This offer is available to agencies that have just one investigator or up to 25 investigators,” Thurman adds.

The CILC BASIC software is designed to enable police officers and investigators to organize investigative information by systemizing major case data, handling large amounts of information, categorizing case information, decreasing paperwork, and enhancing crime scene management.

According to Thurman, some agencies are currently working on grants to procure the software.

“Agencies can get equipped to automate their investigations process,” he says of the program. “It’s going to help law enforcement to more efficiently do their job and hopefully solve cases more quickly.”
