Colorado Woman Suspected of DUI Injures Officer in "Struck By" Accident

An officer with the Thornton (CO) Police Department was conducting a traffic stop on an off-ramp of an interstate highway early Monday morning when a suspected DUI driver struck him.

Shortly after effecting the vehicle stop, the officer reportedly radioed in to dispatch to report that he'd been struck by a passing vehicle.

According to the Denver Channel , the officer was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle—identified as 29-year-old Brittany Noll—was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
