An officer with the Lakewood (CO) Police Department fatally shot an armed man on Monday morning.
According to CBS News , the officer was seeking to arrest a man wanted on violent felony warrants when the man emerged from a basement window armed with a gun. The officer reportedly issued commands for the subject to drop the weapon and was forced to open fire when the man refused.
