Colorado Hockey Team Hosts Fundraiser to Honor Fallen Officers, Help Survivors

Law enforcement officers from around the country flocked to Colorado for the Second Annual Faceoff for the Fallen Officers at the Avalanche NHL game on Saturday night. There were several tributes paid during the evening, beginning with the arena's entire ice being illuminated in a Blue Line flag image.

The event was a fundraiser benefitting two Colorado non-profit organizations—Brotherhood for the Fallen and Colorado Hero Foundation—that provide support to families of the fallen as well as officers who were injured on duty.

Crystal McCoy—who does work with both organizations—told Fox News , "One of the reasons we do these community events is to try to humanize law enforcement. We`re more than just a badge, we're more than just a uniform. This gives us our big blue family a chance to get together, but also to interact with the community and so they can see us as humans."
