Colorado Boy Named Honorary Police Officer in April Completes Chemo

The Colorado Springs (CO) Police Department posted on Twitter that the boy they named to be an honorary police officer in April has completed his last round of chemotherapy.

Joshua Salmoiraghi proudly marked the occasion by ringing the bell at Children’s Hospital Colorado in Aurora while wearing an oversized Captain America shirt, according to Fox News .

According to Colorado Springs Police Department, Joshua Salmoiraghi is expected to undergo radiation therapy for his chest in the coming weeks.

Joshua was first diagnosed with stage-four kidney cancer over Father’s Day weekend in June 2017 — he was 3 years old at the time.
