A campus officer who fatally shot a sword-wielding man has left the hospital, after receiving treatment for a severed finger, reports the Denver Post .
The officer was attacked at 6 a.m. Saturday on the Auraria Campus near the Tivoli Student Center. He opened fire after the man refused to obey orders and swung the sword.
