California Officer Under Investigation for Allegedly Groping Dead Woman

An officer with the Los Angeles Police Department is under investigation for allegedly fondling a dead woman's breasts.

According to the Los Angeles Times , supervisors performing a random inspection reviewed the veteran officer's body-worn camera footage and launched an internal investigation.

The alleged incident took place when the LAPD officer and his partner responded to a call about a possible dead woman in a residential unit.

The Los Angeles Police Protective League—the union that represents rank-and-file officers, said in a statement, :If this allegation is true, then the behavior exhibited by this officer is not only wrong, but extremely disturbing, and does not align with the values we, as police officers, hold dear, and these values include respect and reverence for the deceased."
