A nine-year-old boy suffering from a debilitating disease who was named an honorary sheriff's deputy by the Olmstead County Sheriff's Office earlier this year has returned to the hospital for treatment.
Olmstead County Sheriff Kevin Torgerson posted to his Facebook page, "You may remember young Coltin who has visited us several times on breaks from treatments and visits to Mayo over the last few years. Recently he was able to visit all of our K-9 Teams."
The social media post continued, "Coltin is back at Mayo and having some struggles. He loves law enforcement and his community, please help lift his spirits, continue his fight and support their family."
The boy's love of law enforcement officers has been evident from a young age, and Sheriff Kevin Torgerson and his deputies have shown that love right back.
