As part of National Suicide Prevention Week, Boston Police Commissioner William Gross, the Boston Police Foundation, and the National Society for the Prevention of Suicide are launching a public awareness campaign aimed at reducing suicide by both officers and civilians alike.
According to MSN.com , Boston PD has not suffered the loss of an officer to suicide since 2016, but the department is taking a proactive stance in making sure that officers are aware of available assistance in the event that an officer is approaching crisis.
