Police officers and other first responders from Boston held a procession Thursday for Officer Jose Fontanez, the Boston police officer who recently died of coronavirus.
According to NBC News , the procession transported Fontanez from the Boston Medical Center and traveled past his precinct in Boston's Jamaica Plain neighborhood.
Fontanez was reportedly the first officer with the Boston Police Department to die of COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus.
