A Boston Police officer who celebrated David Ortiz' game-tying grand slam Sunday will likely keep his post in the Red Sox bullpen for the forseeable future.
Officer Steve Horgan, a 27-year veteran, became instantly recognizeable when he raised his arms as the ball and Detroit Tigers outfielder Torii Hunter came bounding into the bullpen in the eighth inning at Fenway Park. The home run allowed the Red Sox to tie the game 5-5 and win it an inning later on a walk-off single from Jarrod Saltalamacchia.
