ASAP Survival Gear Launches Line of Pre-Packed Go Bags

ASAP Survival Gear offers a customizable, self-contained, portable system of packs and specialized gear to prepare you for when disaster or an unexpected emergency strikes.

At the core of the system are the ASAP Starter Packs, which are pre-packed essential items stored in any one of a number of rugged, grab-and-go backpacks or a handled marine ditch bag. Built on the concept of sustaining one or two persons for a given number of days, each ASAP Starter Pack is filled with the basic essentials to manage most emergency situations: food, water, first-aid equipment, signaling and communications, and shelter. Further components of the starter packs include lights, fire starters, knives and/or multi-tools.

ASAP Starter Packs provide owners a great foundation of essentials to help face the unexpected, with plenty of room for further customizing to meet each user's needs through an array of situation-specific "modules" or via a la carte items. Modules currently include two Natural Disaster modules, Winter Home Survival, Communications, Vehicle Emergency, Body Care and Hygiene, Campus Life, Children's Care, Travel Comfort, Pet Care, Supplemental Food and Water, and more.

Further customization of ASAP packs can be accomplished by adding individual a la carte items to any pack or module to truly tailor each pack to a customer's exact needs. The entire line of ASAP Starter Packs, modules, and individual items are all accessible through the comprehensive ASAP Website at www.ASAPSurvivalGear.com , a one-stop source for premium gear, expert preparedness planning tips, and crucial up-to-the-minute weather and emergency related information.

ASAP Survival Gear has enlisted the expertise of Dr. Bob Arnot as chief consultant to their products and program. Dr. Arnot is one of the most recognized names in medical and health professions, having served as the former chief medical editor for NBC News. In the last two decades, he has been on site of the world's worst disasters, helping as a physician, humanitarian, and foreign news correspondent. He has authored Your Survival, an indispensable how-to resource that's included with every ASAP Starter Pack. Dr. Arnot will produce an extensive set of videos to guide in the planning and preparedness process which will be seen on www.asapsurvivalgear.com, ASAP's Facebook fan page, and on YouTube.
