The pursuit continued into Arkansas, involving officers from Tonitown and Springdale. When the U-Haul reached Interstate 49 in Springdale near Exit 70, Tontitown Police Chief Corey Jenison hit the van in order to stop it. This successfully ended the chase, while sending Jenison's vehicle rolling multiple times,

Jensen suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was treated and released at a local hospital.
Police arrested Cory Robert Mercier, 21, and Trenton Johnson, 21, both from Michigan.
"Initial conversations with them was that they were headed back to the Michigan area and for whatever purpose, that they were going to use those firearms or a Molotov cocktail," Det. Keith Lindley of the Tonitown Police Department said. "I cannot think of a legitimate reason."
