Arizona Man Shot by Officer Struggled with PTSD

A 24-year-old man who opened fire in a Glendale, Ariz., intersection and was fatally shot by a municipal officer had been struggling with post traumatic stress since returning from active duty in January.

Glendale Police Sgt. April Arredondo , a 14-year veteran of the department, fatally shot Jeremiah Wilson Pulaski, 24, on Saturday. Pulaski had opened fire, while Sgt. Arredondo was parked with a 52-year-old civilian volunteer riding along.

Pulaski exchanged several rounds with the officer.

Pulaski was a military veteran who returned to the U.S. in January, and he was having a difficult time dealing with the stress from his deployment and return. Police said Pulaski had been involved in another shooting outside a Glendale restaurant just moments before he was stopped by the officer, reports FOX 10.
