Arizona Cardinals Honor Slain Phoenix Officer David Glasser

The Arizona Cardinals football team took a few moments Friday night to remember fallen Phoenix police Officer David Glasser before the team's first preseason game, at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, reports the Arizona Republic .

Glasser, 35, was killed in a May 18 gun battle with a burglary suspect in the Phoenix village of Laveen.

In honor of Glasser, who was a Cardinals superfan and frequent tailgater, the franchise had Glasser's widow and members of the Phoenix Police Department participate in a game-day tradition by sounding the "Big Red" air raid siren.
