On Sept. 14 a Pickens County (Alabama) Sheriff's deputy saw that his patrol vehicle was about to burn. He reacted quickly to get his K-9 partner named Zuna to safety.

“I’m proud of the actions of this deputy that ultimately resulted in him saving his K-9 partner Zuna. These are the type of men and women who work for the citizens of this county each and every day who put themselves in possible danger to protect each and every perso…We are thankful that the deputy as well as K9 Zuna are both OK,” Pickens County Sheriff Jordan Powell said on Facebook.
