Henderson was convicted of capital murder on Tuesday for running over and killing Deputy James Anderson. A jury is now deliberating on whether to reccommend the death penalty for Henderson. At least 10 voters are needed.
Anderson died Sept. 24, 2009, of traumatic asphyxia, caused by Henderson's car crushing his chest and preventing him from breathing.
Prosecutors testified that the manner of Anderson's death was especially heinous and cruel. The deputy lay under the vehicle—unable to breathe, unable to move and being burned by the vehicle.
