5.11 Tactical, known for its tactical apparel and gear, today unveiled its new Apex Pant at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market. Working with top-tier operators, 5.11 Tactical designed the Apex to satisfy the need for a low-visibility pant with full tactical features.

The new side cargo pockets highlight full-size cargo pockets that bellow inside yet can accommodate two fully-loaded AR magazines each. Zip closures are included for security. Two additional rear pockets will carry two more AR magazines, or an iPhone 6 Plus. The waistband's hidden pockets carry flex-cuffs, handcuff keys, and it stretches to conceal weapons. Additionally, 5.11 created a new canvas weave from its proprietary Flex-Tac fabric to provide mechanical stretch that will withstand hard use without failing.

"We've received great feedback on the 5.11 Stryke Pants, but some leading operators challenged us to build a low-profile pant with full tactical features, including the ability to securely carry six AR magazines," said 5.11 Tactical CEO Tom Davin. "The Apex Pant has been in field tests with selected operators for roughly six months. We've gotten very positive feedback and incorporated a few minor adjustments into this product. We believe this 5.11 Apex pant is the new standard for covert functionality, comfort and durability."

The Apex Pant retails for $84.99 and is available in five colors: Black, Dark Navy, TDU Green, Battle Brown, and Khaki.
