As many as 400 NYPD officers could be implicated in a wide-ranging corruption plan to help eliminate tickets for friends and family members of officers, the New York Post initially reported.
The news organization quoted an unnamed source who said that two NYPD lawyers were recently transferred from the department's legal bureau to its advocate's office, which handles departmental trials against officers, and told to expect hundreds of cases.
