All four former Minneapolis officers charged in connection with the death of George Floyd in May appeared in the Hennepin County Courthouse as a judge ruled on whether or not the men would be tried as a group or have separate proceedings.
According to
CBS News
, it was the first time that ex-officer Derek Chauvin appeared in court in person. Until now, he has appeared remotely from Minnesota Correctional Facility-Oak Park Heights. The other three former officers—Alexander Kueng, Thomas Lane, and Tou Thao—have been freed on bail and have been able to make appearances as necessary in person.
