Eulogists remembered Cooper as a dad, horseback rider, laid-back bluegrass fan and lifelong cop.
Cooper had been a police officer in Tulsa, Okla., and Las Vegas for 30 years before joining the Marshals Service in 1994 as a security officer. Johnny Lee Wicks shot and killed him at the Lloyd George U.S. Courthouse, and was then killed in a shootout with authorities.
