2 Virginia Officers Shot on Call That Killed Rookie 'Recovering Well'

The two Prince William County police officers who were shot and injured while responding to a domestic violence call in Woodbridge, VA, last week are "recovering well," the police department said Friday, reports WRC-TV.
Officers David McKeown, 33, and Jesse Hempen, 31, were shot Feb. 26 in an incident in which Officer Ashley Guindon was fatally wounded during her first shift on the job.
The wife of shooting suspect Ronald Hamilton was found dead in the couple's Woodbridge home.
The Prince William County Police Department posted the update on its Facebook page Friday:
"UPDATE: We are pleased to report that both David McKeown and Jesse Hempen are recovering well. For privacy reasons and out of respect to their families, we are limiting further information at this time. We have received many heartfelt messages from concerned community members asking for an update on their condition. We greatly appreciate everyone's concern and support."
