Officer Mark Aker of the Phoenix Police Department died Wednesday after an on-duty medical crisis.

Officer Mark Aker died from a medical event while on-duty on Wednesday May 10, police said. Aker joined Phoenix Police in 1994 and was assigned to the Maryvale Estrella Mountain Precinct, Fox 10 reports.
Sergeant Tim Wheeler of the Phoenix Police Department died Tuesday after an off-duty medical emergency.
