Nebraska prison officials say the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution is under control after a weekend uprising that reportedly erupted over living conditions injured two prison guards and left two inmates dead and at least two more injured, reports the Journal-Star .
"All inmates are accounted for and the public is safe," new state Corrections Director Scott Frakes said at a late Monday morning news conference in Lincoln, Neb. "As of right now, it is under control of staff. It is tense."
