Two officers with the Denver (CO) Police Department were shot by a barricaded suspect on Sunday afternoon.
Both were transported to a nearby hospital where they were reportedly in stable condition.

According to KDVR-TV , one of the wounded officers is a rookie who recently graduated from the police academy.
A third officer with DPD's SWAT team was injured in an automobile crash while responding to the scene. DPD said that officer is in good condition.
