Superintendent Brown said one officer was in line while the suspect was in line ahead of him and when the suspect reached in his pocket to pay, a gun fell out of his waistband. Brown said the officer noticed the gun and the suspect then picked it up and fired at the officer,

The suspect then ran outside and fired at the officer's partner, who was inside of a squad car parked outside the food stand, Brown said.
One officer suffered a graze wound to the head. One was hit in the leg.
At a late press conference, Brown said one officer was released from the hospital and the other would be there for a few days.
