What is the 5.11 Light for Life Foundation?

5.11 Tactical Series will introduce a revolutionary new flashlight this spring. It uses no batteries, charges in just 90 seconds, and shines at 90 lumens for 90 minutes per charge. In bright mode, it shines at 270 peak lumens. Called the Light for Life UC3.400, the flashlight is rated for 50,000 charge cycles (that equals one charge a day for 135 years) and has no memory degradation issues. As the world’s first “battery-less” flashlight, it’s green, lightweight, cost-effective, and lasts practically forever. It is the only flashlight an officer or family may need for a lifetime.

As part of 5.11’s efforts to give back to the community and world, the company has created the 5.11 Light for Life Foundation. 5.11 recently formed a partnership with D.A.R.E. in order to serve both Law Enforcement and the community at large.

The mission of the 5.11 Light for Life Foundation is to promote the health and well being of deserving children and their families by providing outstanding outdoor recreational activities, educational opportunities, scholarships and other beneficial programs in conjunction with Law Enforcement organizations with the same mission.

5.11’s new Light for Life flashlight is designed to last for generations to come, and so will D.A.R.E. and the children we hope to positively influence with the Life for Life Foundation – sending youth out to be “positive lights” in their communities.

The Montana Adventure contest is an outstanding opportunity to recognize a student who serves as a positive role model in their school and/or community and exemplifies the principles of D.A.R.E. Nominate your deserving student today! To learn more about 5.11 Tactical, visit www.511tactical.com .
