Officer Albert Morin, 34, remains in critical condition at Huntsville Hospital, WAAY reports.

A suspect is in custody. He is also suspected of shooting a female before the officers arrived.
The suspect, Juan Laws, has been charged with capital murder and was booked in the Madison County Jail, where he is being held without bond.
