The 2013 edition of the Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show in Las Vegas provided plenty of innovative tactical gear for officers. POLICE Magazine's video crew visited Daniel Defense, Glock, KDH Defense Systems, Point Blank Body Armor, and SIG Sauer to show five offerings.
Daniel Defense introduced the ISR (Integrated Suppressed Rifle) at SHOT Show, which is chambered in 300 AAC Blackout and includes an integral suppressor designed for officers in close-quarter battle encounters.
The ISR arrives with a 16-inch barrel and stainless steel suppressor that can't be removed. The rifle is designed to reduce noise and muzzle flash during dynamic entries and other tactical scenarios.
Glock introduced the Glock 30S, a .45-caliber hybrid of the company's Glock 30 and Glock 36. The double-stack .45 ACP holds 10 rounds. Barrel length is just under four inches, empty weight is a bit more than 20 ounces, and a grip extender makes the new pistol comfortable in almost any hand. The pistol was developed with input from the LAPD.

KDH Defense Systems introduced the Transformer Armor System, a modular concealable body armor system that can be configured for various missions. At the core of the Transformer system is an internal speed plate carrier strapping system that connects directly to the ballistic inserts.
VIDEO: Point Blank's Modular Body Armor
Point Blank executives told POLICE Magazine about the company's new body armor offerings at SHOT Show that include the Advanced Plate Carrier and Advanced Warrior modular systems.
SIG Sauer introduced the SIG MPX subgun, which uses a short-stroke gas piston system and can accept 9mm, .40 S&W, and .357 SIG rounds. In full-auto mode, the MPX can cycle 850 rounds per minute. SIG will produce four law enforcement-only versions of the MPX.
