My New Year's Resolution is that I want to retire for "real" this time. With 35 years on the job, I first retired in 2008 and received a pension with the Joplin (MO) PD, but immediately joined the Jasper County Sheriff's Office, starting as a process server, and now a court bailiff. I've also been a life-time subscriber to POLICE Magazine, since when it was called Police Product News. By the way, I still miss the monthly "Have You Got Court?" centerfold calendar.
