5.11 Tactical has been an innovator of duty and tactical clothing since the Royal Robbins 5.11 pants became popular with agencies and trainers back in the 1990s. Today 5.11 offers law enforcement officers looking for quality clothing many fine options. The new Stryke with Flex-Tac is the latest pair of pants to carry on this tradition.

The company's Stryke has cleaner, leaner lines than the traditional 5.11 Tactical pants. This is due largely to the new fabric. These pants are manufactured from a proprietary poly/cotton ripstop material that naturally stretches, breathes, feels good against the skin, and does it without spandex. You will find this also gives you better color retention and longer wear.

You'll find the rear pockets are not the slash pockets 5.11 is known for but flapped pockets that close with hook-and-loop material. This same style is used for the thigh pockets for a trimmer, better looking profile. The Stryke also has a dressier look than the standard 5.11 Tactical Pants.

What I most like about these pants is that they're stain resistant, which comes in handy for those inevitable spills. There's nothing like a big brown coffee stain on your thigh all day to make you look sharp.

Another reason I give these pants two thumbs up is the expandable waistline. Granted, this will help after overdoing it at lunch, but I'm more interested in the fact that the pants give and move better with you when you are sitting in an exciting training session or required yearly legal updates. The waistband is also exceedingly comfortable on a long ride.

I give the new Stryke pants high marks. They fit well, look good, and from what I have seen wash well. I think these pants will be another fine addition to the 5.11 Tactical line-up.
