Michigan State Police report a suspected alcohol-impaired driver collided with a trooper responding to a call Tuesday evening. Paramedics evaluated both the trooper and the other driver for injures and found both were unhurt.
A trooper dispatched to an emergency call in Livingston County shortly after 6 p.m. was responding with emergency lights activated when a vehicle making a left turn crossed into his path and crashed into the patrol car, Michigan State Police tell MLIVE.
The driver who struck the trooper’s patrol unit, a 68-year-old man, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
