Atlanta Police Car Stolen by 14-Year-Old

Darin Schierbaum, the interim APD chief, recently briefed city council members about the arrests of 15-year-old boys that investigators linked to more than fifty car crimes.

Atlanta police say a 14-year-old stole a police vehicle from one of their parking garages.

He was stopped and cited without incident a short distance from the garage. Because of his age, police drove the boy home. The vehicle was recovered, Fox5 reports.

His case highlights a shift that is disturbing. Boys between the ages of 13 to 15 are increasingly committing crimes in the Atlanta area, police say.
