TX Deputy Shot in Chest, Saved by Armor

A Clay County, TX, deputy was shot in the upper chest during a traffic stop Monday evening. His armor stopped the round.

The suspect is now the subject of a Blue Alert.

The Texas Department of Public Safety later released information about the alert. DPS said troopers were searching for an unknown suspect, KHOU reports.

Texas DPS said the Cadillac was found Tuesday in Wichita Falls. The suspect remains at large.
