Three Delaware Officers Shot at Domestic in Apartment Building

Police say officers responded to the domestic at about 9:30 p.m. and the suspect opened fire on them as they entered the building.

Three Wilmington, DE, police officers were shot and wounded Wednesday night at an apartment as they responded to a domestic call.

The shooting triggered a 12-hour standoff. The suspect was found dead reportedly of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, 6ABC reports.

Two of the wounded officers are hospitalized in stable condition. The other has been treated and released.

The suspect has been identified as Bernard Goodwyn, 31.

Police say officers responded to the domestic at about 9:30 p.m. and Goodyn opened fire on them as they entered the building.
