Officer Claims Discrimination for Treatment at Fast Food Take-Out Window

An officer with the Jacksonville (FL) Police Department is claiming that she was mistreated at a local fast-food take-out window simply because of the uniform she was wearing and the patrol vehicle she was driving.

An officer with the Jacksonville (FL) Police Department is claiming that she was mistreated at a local fast-food take-out window simply because of the uniform she was wearing and the patrol vehicle she was driving.

According to ABC News, Officer Jillian Wendworth is not available to speak with reporters during the ongoing investigation, but Police Chief Michael Yaniero commented, "She went to pick up food, and there was an exchange that took place, and there were some other things that occurred."

Wenderoth did state on her Facebook post that she is grateful the corporate office of the fast food chain, Bojangles, which reached out to her to let her know they are investigating and speaking with employees.
