South Carolina Officer Fired Over Social Media Post

An officer with the Pamplico (SC) Police Department has been fired over a social media post of video during an interaction that Mayor David Munn said "does not reflect the views of the Town of Pamplico or the Pamplico Police Department."

An officer with the Pamplico (SC) Police Department has been fired over a social media post of video during an interaction that Mayor David Munn said "does not reflect the views of the Town of Pamplico or the Pamplico Police Department."

According to WBTW-TV News, the mayor did not elaborate on the nature of the offending social media post, but did say that it was cause for dismissal of the officer.

The officer—whose name has not been released—had reportedly been on the department for about six years.
