An officer with the Wolfe City (TX) Police Department has been charged with murder in the fatal shooting of a subject reportedly involved in a fight at a gas station earlier this week.

According to NBC News, prosecutors have deemed that Officer Shaun Lucas did not take reasonable action in the encounter that killed 31-year-old Jonathan Price.

"The preliminary investigation indicates that the actions of Officer Lucas were not objectionably (sic) reasonable," the Texas Rangers said. He was arrested, booked into the Hunt County Jail and charged with murder.
