An officer with the Lincoln (NE) Police Department was bitten on both arms by a man who fled from a traffic stop and resisted arrest.

According to ABC News, police attempted to effect a traffic stop when the driver of the subject vehicle—identified by authorities as 22-year-old Junior Salguero—fled the scene and ran into an apartment building.

Police pursued Salguero into the building and while they were attempting to place him under arrest he reportedly bit one of the officers at least two times, breaking skin and causing injury.

Salguero was eventually arrested and cited for obstruction of a police officer and assault on a police officer.

The officer is expected to be okay.
