An officer with the Toledo (OH) Police Department was nearly struck by a vehicle in a shopping mall parking lot on Monday as she was dealing with an alleged parking violation. Police say the driver targeted the officer.

According to ABC News, Detective Shelli Kilburn was working security at a local retail establishment and addressing the suspected illegal parking of a vehicle in a handicapped parking space when the driver of the car "became irate" and allegedly attempted to run the officer down.

The subject—identified as 29-year-old Britnay Slay—fled the scene and a warrant has been issued for her arrest.

Slay is charged with felonious assault, a first-degree felony.
