Off-Duty Missouri Motor Officer Injured in Vehicle Collision

An off-duty officer with the Independence (MO) Police Department was injured in a vehicle collision on Thursday morning.

An off-duty officer with the Independence (MO) Police Department was injured in a vehicle collision on Thursday morning.

According to the Kansas City Star, the officer—whose name has not been revealed—was riding his patrol motorcycle when he collided with another vehicle.

The officer was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. He was listed in stable condition.

Police said it appeared the driver of the other vehicle may have been impaired.
